Established in 2011 by massive rock fans Gemma and Simon, and named after one of their favourite AC/DC albums, Let There Be Rock is an independent radio show aired fortnightly playing the best in Classic, New and Unsigned rock. 

The show is currently available to listen to online via Mixcloud,
and as of April 11th 2025, broadcast alternate Friday nights at the slighty earlier time of 7-9pm, on Calder Valley Radio.

Let There Be Rock began life back in January of 2011 on 96.7 Phoenix FM, a local community radio station based in Halifax, West Yorkshire, broadcasting alternate Monday's 8-10pm until April 2018. A few months later, the show was enticed out of retirement after being headhunted by Brighton's Metal Meyhem Radio, a pure rock and metal station broadcasting on DAB on the south coast for 4 years. The station sadly closed on the 31st August 2022.
Rejuvenated by its success at Metal Meyhem the show returned to 96.7 Phoenix FM, on the 16th September 2022, rejoining the station where it all began and moving to the Friday night slot 8-10pm.
As of April 11th 2025, the show can now be heard alternate Friday nights at the slightly earlier time of 7-9pm, on Calder Valley Radio.
